The famous “Seattle” hot dog recipe, perfect for gameday!
Total cook time
- 1 pack Oberto Classic Sausages (5 pack)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 package cream cheese (4oz)
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sauerkraut
- 5 hot dog buns
Step 1 :: Prep
Thinly slice 1 medium yellow onion.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and cook slowly until the onions have softened and turned deep brown, about 15 minutes. Set aside.
Step 4 :: Grill Classic Sausages & Buns
Preheat grill to medium-low heat.
Grill sausages for 8 to 10 minutes until heated thoroughly and turning frequently for even browning.
Lightly grill hot dog buns on both sides.
Step 7 :: Assemble
Add Oberto Classic sausage to lightly grilled bun.
To assemble the Seattle Dogs, spread warm cream cheese on a toasted hot dog bun, add Oberto Classic sausage, top with onions, and sauerkraut. Eat!
