A1c (Diabetes)

An A1C screening estimates your average blood sugar levels over the past two to three months. It may help you and your healthcare provider understand long-term patterns in blood sugar control and can help your healthcare provider assess your risk for diabetes or pre-diabetes.

Blood Glucose (Diabetes)

A blood glucose screening provides a snapshot of your current blood sugar level. Results may help inform conversations with your healthcare provider about pre-diabetes.

Blood Pressure

A blood pressure screening measures how forcefully blood flows through your arteries. Elevated readings may signal a need to follow up with your healthcare provider about heart health.

Cholesterol

A cholesterol screening measures different types of fats in your blood, including LDL, HDL, triglycerides and total cholesterol. These results may help inform discussions with your healthcare provider about heart health.

HIV*

An HIV screening checks for signs of the human immunodeficiency virus. If results are positive, follow-up testing and consultation with a healthcare provider are recommended.

Strep/Flu*

Strep and flu screenings check for signs of common infections caused by bacteria or viruses. Results may help inform next steps with your pharmacist. These tests are offered as part of our test and treat service for flu and/or strep.

Frequently asked questions about health screenings available at Pavilions pharmacy

You can access screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar (A1c), blood pressure, and glucose levels in one visit. We also have screenings for HIV, strep and flu in conjunction with our test and treat services for flu, strep, PrEP and PEP.  

No appointment is required. Walk-ins are welcome at participating Pavilions pharmacy locations.

Yes, we offer testing for both flu and strep at our Pavilions pharmacies; we can also prescribe treatment to help you manage both of these illnesses.
