Directions Cooking Instructions: 1. Rice Cooker: (a) Follow the rice cooker directions or use the rice measurement chart below. (b) To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking. (c) Add rice and water to cooker, stir well and soak for 20 minutes. (d) Close lid and start rice cooker. Use the white rice setting if available. When rice cooker switches to warm setting, let stand for 10 minutes, then fluff and serve. NOTE: Rice to water ratio varies by rice cooker. 2. Stove Top: (a) Find desired servings in rice measurement chart below. (b) To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking. (c) Add rice and water to saucepan stir well and soak for 20 minutes. (d) Close lid, bring water to boil, then turn down to a low simmer for 35-40 minutes or until moisture is absorbed. (e) Remove from heat, let stand for 10 minutes, fluff and serve. Note: For softer rice add 1/4 cup more water and cook for 5 minutes longer. For firmer rice add 1/4 cup less water and cook for 5 minutes less. Rice Measurement Chart: For 1 cup uncooked rice; 1-3/4 cups of water; 3 cups of yields (cooked rice); 4-1/4 cup of servings (uncooked rice per serving). For 2 cup uncooked rice; 3 cups of water; 6 cups of yields (cooked rice); 8 cup of servings (uncooked rice per serving). For 3 cup uncooked rice; 4-1/2 cups of water; 9 cups of yields (cooked rice); 12 cup of servings (uncooked rice per serving). Store in a cool dry place out of sunlight.
