Directions Cooking Instructions: This product must be cooked prior to consumption. Stovetop: 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a saucepan; 2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed; 3. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking. Microwave: For best results, use stovetop cooking method. Combine 1 cup rice and 2 cups water in a covered microwave-safe dish. Microwave at 100% (high) power for 5 minutes. Reduce power to 50% (medium) for an additional 15 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Remove from microwave and let stand covered 5 minutes. Fluff with fork. Microwave ovens vary; adjust tunes as needed. Cooking Tips: Add salt and oil or margarine if desired; steam cooks rice; do not lift lid while cooking; for firmer rice, use less water and simmer a shorter time; for softer rice, use more water and simmer a longer time.
