Directions Cooking Directions: Yield: 3-1/2 cups of cooked rice. In medium saucepan, bring to boil 2 cups water, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine and 1 tsp. salt. Add 1 cup rice, reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and season to taste with butter or margarine. For firmer rice, reduce water by 1/4 cup. To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking.
