Directions Stove Top Cooking: Servings (about 3/4 cup cooked rice): 2-3 Servings: 1/2 cup rice (dry), 1 cup water or broth, 1-1/2 tsp butter or oil; 4-6 Servings: 1 cup rice (dry), 2 cups water, 1 tbsp butter or oil; 8-10 Servings: 2 cups rice (dry), 4 cups water or broth, 2 tbsp butter or oil. 1. Combine rice, water and butter (optional) in a pot with a tight-fitting lid. 2. Bring to a boil. Stir once. Cover with lid. Reduce heat to simmer and cook 50 minutes. 3. Remove from heat, let stand in covered pop for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork, salt to taste (optional). To prepare in rice cooker use same water-rice ratios. (If the rice is crunchy at the end of cooking time, it may be necessary to add 1-2 tbsp liquid and cook longer. We recommend refrigeration for extended shelf life.
